 
        Allspice d`Espelette, the French pepper, chilli powder
The only native peppercorn in France is the allspice, and in Espelette, near the town of St.-Jean-de-Luz, it thrives under ideal climatic conditions: rich soil and plenty of warmth. Allspice is piquant, but not as hot as cayenne pepper. It`s ideal with omelets, grilled meat, salads, fish, or pizza.
