Ponthier chestnuts are precooked ready to use. They do not disintegrate when warming up, remain tender and retain their incomparable taste. The sweet chestnuts traditionally accompany meat, game and poultry as a filling or garnish. Also in connection with fish such as sole or monkfish the aromatic fruits of the sweet chestnut are to be recommended. They also complement rustic salads or can be used for baked apple fillings as well as in fine pastries.
