XO Unhiq Malt Rum, 42% vol., Gift box

The UNHIQ Malt Rum from the renowned producer OLIVER and OLIVER from the Dominican Republic is in a class of its own. The 23 to 25 year maturation period, which it was able to experience in the house`s excellent Solera, really did it good. The best barrels were taken here and then matured in excellent sherry barrels, which not only gave it a rich brown with amber reflections, but also a lot of flavor. On the nose we find sherry notes such as caramel, dried fruit, vanilla and wonderfully fragrant toast. On the palate the aroma is strong and sweet at the same time, without being alcoholic. Caramel, raisins, dates and figs play around the tongue and are accompanied by a very pleasant light note of iodine in the long finish.
