Caper berries, large, with stem, Ø 18 - 21mm, refined
The flower buds of the caper bush originate from the Mediterranean region and are preserved in water, wine vinegar, and salt. Their flavor is spicy and slightly bitter, with a hint of heat. They are an ideal accompaniment to mayonnaise, salads, and cold sauces such as remoulade. They are also a true delicacy in potato salad and steak tartare, as well as with hard-boiled eggs.
