Macadamia nuts, shelled, unsalted
The very hard, light brown shell of the macadamia nut contains a roughly 2-centimeter-long, slightly cream-colored, round fruit. Its cultivation and processing are very labor-intensive, making it the most prized of all nuts. Furthermore, it is highly sought after for its exceptionally delicate texture, crisp bite, and fine, slightly sweet aroma. All of this has earned it the nickname `Queen of Nuts.` The exceptionally flavorful macadamia nut can be enjoyed on its own or used to enhance both savory and sweet dishes.
