

Beans, Borlotti - quail beans, small, dried
These beans have medium-sized, reddish and red-spotted seeds. They retain their shape, even when cooked soft. Mostly they are used for soups (minestrone) and stews, but also for salad preparations. The taste is bitter-sweet and the cooking time is about 40 minutes.
