2022 Chablis Grand Cru Les Preuses, dry, 12.5% vol., William Fevre
Les Preuses, along with Les Clos, is one of the two top Grand Cru vineyards, representing the pinnacle of Chablis. It boasts unparalleled minerality and a rich, multifaceted flavor profile. It requires ample aeration before drinking. A wine for decades. The Chablis terroir is characterized by a high proportion of Kimmeridge chalk in various forms, which imparts tremendous minerality and a steely acidity to the wines, and is also responsible for their exceptional aging potential. Eighty percent of the Grand Cru wines are aged for 15 months in used barriques. William Fevre, with 15% of the 100 hectares, is the largest owner of Grand Cru vineyards in Chablis. 95 Parker points.
