2024 Riesling QW, dry, 12% vol., Hofmann, organic

DE - ORGANIC - 039. On the nose, mineral and saline, with hints of yellow fruits like peach. On the palate, playful and elegant - a Riesling that dances on the tongue. Excellent with asparagus, salads, and poultry dishes. The Hofmann winery`s vineyards are located in Appenheim in northern Rheinhessen. Appenheim`s best sites are geologically shaped by the remnants of the ancient sea, which created shell limestone soils. The Riesling grapes originate partly from the shell limestone at the foot of the Westerberg hill. The limestone from which the soil developed is the remnant of a calcareous algae reef. Additional Riesling grapes come from the Niersteiner Roter Hang vineyard with its red slate soil.
