Kasumi Kuro chef`s knife, 21cm, Black Forest
KURO means `black` in Japanese, but it is also available with other handle colors. Kasumi drew inspiration from lacquered armor woven with black Iyo-Sane cords. The handle contrasts with the glossy blade. This Japanese knife sits in the Kasumi hierarchy between the Kasumi Titanium and Kasumi HM and is suitable for mixed use, both private and professional. The Kasumi KURO is an alternative to the Kasumi HM, which is made of 1.0% carbon. The hammered texture acts like an air cushion, allowing food to release more quickly. Because it is located in the upper part of the blade, where food tends to stick, and covers a large portion of the surface, it is more effective than hollow grinds.
