2024 Nat Cool Drink Me Red Wine DOC, dry, 12% vol., Niepoort

The NAT COOL 2024 comes from various parcels of old Baga vines in the Bairrada wine region. It was fermented in stainless steel tanks for five weeks and aged until bottling, where malolactic fermentation also took place. The wine was bottled unfiltered. This wine boasts a bright, radiant color and displays aromas of chalky minerality, fresh herbs, and delicate floral notes. On the palate, hints of raspberries emerge, underpinned by a delicate structure and pleasant acidity. As a chilled red, it is a perfect accompaniment to sushi and should be served slightly chilled - this enhances its refreshing and vibrant character.
