AT - BIO - 402. The name Barrel 4 is a tribute to the legendary barrel number 4 of the Ott family, in which the Gruner Veltliner was once aged in wood. Today, however, the Gruner Veltliner comes from stainless steel tanks and is enjoyable from the very first sip: typical apple notes meet white pepper and a delicately spicy, exotic fruit cocktail. On the palate, it is juicy and fruit-forward - subtly mineral and with an elegant acidity. This Gruner Veltliner is best enjoyed with hearty snacks, such as a charcuterie board with rustic bread. It also pairs wonderfully with light meats in a peppercorn cream sauce.
