2021 Konigsschild Riesling, dry, 12.5% vol., Tesch (blue capsule)
The Konigsschild grapes thrive on a south-facing slope in the Nahe region. The soil is homogeneous, loess loam with traces of shell limestone. The Riesling: dry, elegant, clear, and structured. The Tesch winery in Langenlonsheim is truly a traditional estate, family-owned since 1723. Martin Tesch, the current owner of the winery and a trained microbiologist, is a passionate advocate of the concept of terroir and an equally passionate opponent of uniform mass production. In practice, this means: controlled, environmentally friendly viticulture, selective hand-harvesting, and fully fermented wines. The result: pure Riesling!
