2024 Senior Ayler Riesling Barrel 6 QW, dry, 10% vol., Lauer

Grandfather Peter Lauer I (1906-1991) enjoyed a bottle of Riesling every day. It had a wonderful aroma and a dry, finely balanced taste with a hint of fruit on the palate. Each year, he selected a barrel from the Ayler Kupp vineyard. He placed particular importance on having a single wine for all his guests, one that would appeal to both dry wine drinkers and lovers of fruity wines. As a tribute to this renowned elder, the Lauer winery produces a worthy successor each year, one that would surely have pleased his grandfather.
