After 40 years of lees aging, this sparkling wine developed aromas rarely associated with sparkling wine: cigar, herbs, barbecue sauce, and whisky-like notes such as peat and smoke. Very mineral, with remarkably pronounced carbonation for its age and a fine perlage. A subtle sherry component in the finish. Quite unusual and extremely exciting, more suited to the adventurous drinker than the novice.
