2023 Silvaner Wurzburger QW, dry, 12% vol., Am Stein, organic
DE - ORGANIC - 022. These village wines come from the best vineyards within a single village. They are ambassadors of their respective terroir. Typical regional grape varieties and low yields are prerequisites for these wines. The grapes originate from the Wurzburger Stein, Kirchberg, and Innere Leiste vineyards in the wine metropolis of Wurzburg. The parent material for the vineyard soils is Middle Muschelkalk, a sedimentary layer composed of calcareous algae and shells. The clay-rich limestones, formed over millions of years, contribute to the soil`s excellent heat retention. The stony, slightly clayey loam is deep and rich in humus. This results in a balanced herbal spiciness, delicate fruit, chalky minerality, and uncompromising dryness. A fine acidity keeps the wine fresh and provides vibrancy and balance. A textbook Silvaner that proves why there is no culinary equation this grape variety cannot solve.
