2022 Vetus Barrique red wine DO, dry, 15% vol., Bodega Vetus

Aged for 12 months in French and American oak. Deep cherry red, aromas of ripe fruit with a hint of sweet spices. Very structured, perfectly balanced, with ripe tannins and good acidity. In the sun-drenched region of Toro, at an altitude of 700 meters, grows the Tinta de Toro - a clone of Tempranillo - of Bodega Vetus. The altitude and the resulting cooler temperatures in the otherwise very hot Toro region give the wines a beautiful acid structure and a certain finesse and elegance. The calcareous soils contribute to the intense aromatics of the grapes, which grow on 23 hectares. All wines are aged in French and American oak barriques.
