2022 Crianza Barrique DOC Rioja, dry, 14.5% vol., Izadi, VEGAN

Aged for 14 months in barriques (American oak). A powerful yet supple Tempranillo with complex aromas. This classic Rioja wine pours an intense ruby red. The bouquet is finely woven, revealing aromas of raspberries, pomegranate seeds, juicy cherries, as well as vanilla, milk chocolate, toast, and juniper berries. The wine has a velvety and full-bodied opening. The medium tannin level is well-rounded. The pleasantly fresh acidity accentuates the fruit aromas and ensures easy drinkability. It is a first-class red wine that reveals its origin, but with its smoothness and balance, it remains approachable and will appeal to both connoisseurs and wine novices. Aging potential for the next 4-6 years. The Izadi winery is a second-generation family-owned estate managed according to strict quality guidelines. 80% of the 100 hectares of vineyards are planted with Tempranillo, the leading grape variety of Rioja. The remaining 20% consists of various red and white grape varieties. Harvesting is done twice by hand, first in the vineyard and then at the winery on the sorting table. All Izadi wines are characterized by a powerful density and beautiful balance.
