2024 Lossmannle Rivaner and Auxerrois, dry, % vol., Johner
The loess soil of the Kaiserstuhl region is known for wines with fruity intensity and a simple, approachable style. However, the limestone deposits in deeper root layers contribute to the wines` excellent aging potential, provided they are produced with sufficient grape ripeness and aging on the fine lees. The aroma is a potpourri of yellow fruits, complemented by some floral notes and a hint of muscat (from ripe Rivaner grapes). On the palate, it offers medium body and acidity, a subtle creaminess, and a touch of salinity. A pleasant finish with a gentle aftertaste.
