Amaranth, organic
DE - ORGANIC - 001 Amaranth is not a grain, but rather the fine seeds of a plant related to amaranth. Its main growing areas extend from Europe to India. Amaranth is rich in high-quality protein, iron, and calcium. Flour made from amaranth grains makes baked goods moister and sweeter; it is used for cookies, pancakes, or waffles. It is an excellent addition to grains, legumes, nuts, and seeds; it contains twice as much iron and four times as much calcium as durum wheat. Simmer with broth or milk for approximately 30-35 minutes.
