2022 Tohuwabohu Red Wine Cuvee QW, dry, 14% vol., Schneider

A classic Bordeaux blend of Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Cabernet Sauvignon, and a touch of Petit Verdot. The grapes grow just a stone`s throw from the winery on a barren, sandy-gravelly site. TOHUWABOHU is a tribute to Schneider`s young son, Nicolaus, who not only frequently turns everything upside down but also rearranges many things. Production: Hand-harvested from fully ripe grapes. Grapes, traditional maceration in wooden fermentation vats followed by a 5-week standing period, gentle pressing under low pressure, then storage in wooden barrels without any external intervention (fining, etc.).
