The Caberlot grape is the result of a natural cross between Cabernet Franc and Merlot and has been cultivated exclusively at the Podere Il Carnasciale winery since 1986. Thus, the winery`s flagship wine, Il Caberlot, also became the winery`s flagship wine. Only around 2,300 bottles are sold annually.
