DE - ECO - 039. The VDP.ERSTE LAGE® Nackenheimer Engelsberg is located on the plateau above the Roter Hange, at the height of the Rothenberg. It forms the link between the steep slopes of the Rhine Valley and the foothills of the Eichelsbach Valley, bordering it to the northeast. An exciting combination of calcareous soils from the Upper Rotliegend and the Red Clay Slate of the Permian period defines its character. A wonderful blend of the spice of the Red Clay Slate and the succulence of the limestone. The 2023 vintage is a premiere.
