2023 Pouilly Fume, dry, 13% vol., H.Bourgeois

Pouilly-Fume is a Sauvignon Blanc with a slightly smoky note. On the palate, you`ll find aromas of grapefruit, freshly cut grass, and a hint of linden blossom. All underpinned by the typical Bourgeois minerality. A fantastic finish! The winery`s style is rather traditional. Great emphasis is placed on minerality, as it reflects the magnificent and diverse terroirs of the Loire. You won`t find the overly fruity, saturated wines so popular today among these wines. Furthermore, Bourgeois` Sancerre and Pouilly-Fume are characterized-unlike most other producers-by their excellent aging potential. The premium ranges even reach their peak after three or four years. Until the 2022 vintage, Pouilly-Fume was called En Travertin. This designation was dropped from the 2023 vintage onward.
