2023 Sancerre, dry, 13% vol., H.Bourgeois

The Sancerre offers a very multifaceted fruit play of white asparagus, citrus fruits and flint. A characterful and concentrated Sauvignon Blanc with racy acidity. The style of the house is rather classic. Great importance is attached to minerality, as this reflects the magnificently different terroirs of the Loire. The fruit bombs that are so modern and filling these days are not found among these wines. The Sancerre and Pouilly Fume from Bourgeois are also characterized by very good storage capacity. The premium series only present themselves in their most beautiful bloom after the third or fourth year and are still a wonderful drinking pleasure even after 10 years. The Sancerre was still called Les Baronnes until the 2022 vintage. This addition has been omitted from the 2023 vintage.
