Kalkofen GG is located on the plateau above Deidesheim. 65-year-old vines grow on sandstone and limestone. This wine is mostly fermented in 500l oak barrels and matured on the yeast for 1.5 years. The Kalkofen GG is very elegant and fine with great length on the palate. The chalky subsoil creates a highly concentrated salty minerality with a deeply interwoven density that seems as light as a feather. It is recommended to decant the wine.
