2022 Grauburgunder Kalkmergel, dry, 13% vol., F. Becker

Around Schweigen on the Alsatian side from old vines. The naturally low yields, gentle processing of the grapes and several months of yeast storage produce concentrated, but at the same time playfully fresh Pinot Gris with melting and finesse. Age of the vines 47 years. Clear pink reflections. On the nose, scent of light red garden fruit and pomegranate. Subtle oak tone. On the palate, juicy, drinkable with a pleasantly fresh character. Good structure and length. The rose color is the result of several days of maceration of the highly ripe, pink Pinot Gris grapes before pressing.
