Shiso Furikake - with perilla and ume plum, Fukami, Japan
A 100% natural furikake made from dried umeboshi and red shiso. Shiso furikake is often made without umeboshi, but this exquisite product combines the best of both ingredients, aged for three years. It`s delicious on freshly cooked rice or for onigiri, but also in dressings or Japanese pickles. Fukami is a fourth-generation family business that cultivates its own ume (Japanese plum), which is then processed into umeboshi (plum pickles) and umesu (plum vinegar). The company is located in Wakayama Province, world-renowned for its nanko ume fruit. The ume and shiso used here are grown without pesticides or artificial fertilizers.
