2020 Les Amandiers, dry, 13.5% vol., Vieux Parc
A blend of Syrah, Merlot, and Grenache. On the palate, aromas of cooked fruit and earthy notes unfold, dense and well-structured with soft tannins. Corbieres, at 13,000 hectares, is the largest sub-region of the Languedoc. The Panis family has been running the estate for five generations, cultivating 65 hectares of vineyards, 39 of which are in the Corbieres AOC, primarily planted with red grape varieties. In addition to classic southern French grape varieties, Merlot and Cabernet Sauvignon are also grown on the clay, limestone, and gravelly soils. The winemaking is carried out with great respect for nature and the vines; Chateau du Vieux Parc is a member of Vitealys, an association dedicated to sustainable viticulture.
