2011 La Maze, dry, 14.5% vol., Comte de Thun

A pure Merlot that was aged in barriques for two years. The 2011 vintage of `La Maze` reflects a wine season that is reflected in the quality of the grapes. The wine presents itself in a very concentrated form, with good development potential. On the nose it offers a bouquet of spices, candied stone fruits and undergrowth. On the palate it is round and the finish offers ripe fruit and beautiful tannins. A wonderfully structured vintage.
