The Tartufo dolce nero is the classic among the Tartufi dolci. It is not quite as dark and bitter as its predecessor, the extranero. This chocolate truffle is made from a high proportion of chopped and ground Piedmont hazelnuts IGP and lots of high-quality cocoa mass. These ingredients give the Tartufo nero a grainy yet melty texture and a pleasantly balanced sweetness in the taste. It is the classic truffle for coffee.
