The kanuka tree (Kuneza ericoides), native to New Zealand, grows in coastal and lowland forests, as well as wetlands. A member of the myrtle family, it is also known to many as the `tea tree`. It produces a delicate honey with a fine, silky, and sweet floral flavor.
