Extra Virgin Olive Oil, Molino Alfonso, Arbequina, Spain

Compared to its brother, the Empeltre, the Arbequina oil appears a touch stronger in colour. It impresses with its intense fruit aroma: green grassy, tomato. The Arbequina is very present on the palate and unfolds aromas of bananas and dried fruit. The oil comes from the olive oil producer Molino Alfonso in the Aragon region, which was founded in 1907 and is now run by the fourth generation of the family. The knowledge of the very loving and detailed olive oil production has been refined and passed on here for decades. All of the olive oils offered by Molino Alfonso have won several awards and are made from olives from the first (i.e. earlier) harvest. This is reflected in the accentuated grassy notes.
