Pistachios grow on trees 8 to 12 meters high and, as stone fruits, are related to cashew and mango. Its core is covered by a seed skin and a beige, hard shell. After peeling and blanching, you get the light to strong green core. Pistachios taste almond-like, sweet and yet spicy. They are used in the production of pastries, sugar products such as pistachio nougat and pralines, but also serve as an ingredient in meat fillings and fine sausage products.
