Smalands Glögg is a mulled wine based on cranberry and apple wine that comes from the southern Swedish province of Smaland. Lingonberries growing wild there give the Glögg its full, aromatic character. Cinnamon, cloves and coriander give it its balanced flavor. The word Glögg is the shortened form of glödgat vin and actually means nothing more than mulled wine. Glögg is sometimes referred to as Swedish punch or Swedish mulled wine. We recommend serving the Vinfabriken Smalandsglögg in a mug with a spoon, following the Swedish tradition. Cover the bottom of the beaker with finely chopped almonds and raisins and fill it up with the carefully warmed Glögg. It also tastes great chilled, for example mixed with sparkling wine. Also available as a 5 liter canister, article 54083.
