The basis of this brandy is fully ripened Williams Christ pears, which are carefully matured in crates (Williams pears are the only fruit whose flavor intensity can be enhanced by further ripening). Mashed at the precise moment of optimal aroma development, we distill an elegant and refined brandy. Our Williams brandy differs significantly from the very common Williams pear brandies, which are characterized by a rich and sweet bouquet: For us, it is not the overt aromatic intensity that is important for Williams, but rather the preservation and optimal presentation of the complexity and elegance typical of this noble pear.
