Raz el Hanout (literally: head of the shop) was traditionally the boss`s responsibility in Morocco, as up to 30 different spices had to be carefully blended. This North African couscous seasoning still contains sweet, spicy, and bitter notes. The flavor of this Raz el Hanout blend is slightly sweet. Besides its typical use in couscous or tagine dishes, this aromatic spice also pairs well with meat and fish dishes, as well as stews.
