Marble mortar and pestle, Carrara marble, olive wood, approx. 20 cm, Olio Roi

Made from the finest Carrara marble, roughened on the inside, with a hardwood pestle. In Liguria, it is traditionally used for making pesto, and of course also for grinding herbs and spices.
