Hazelnuts, chopped, roasted

Hazelnuts contain less fat and don`t go rancid as quickly as pecans, Brazil nuts, and macadamia nuts. They are added to muesli and sauces and can be used to make ice cream. They are equally popular in sweet and savory dishes, and hazelnut oil and hazelnut butter are made from them. These hazelnuts are finely chopped; roasted in butter, they make ideal hazelnut brittle. They are also delicious in chocolate. It`s best to store them in the refrigerator.
