Old time Bergpflaume Brand, barrel-stored, 44% vol., Scheibel

The `Old Times` series comprises the top products of the Scheibel distillery. These brandies are meticulously distilled over wood fires and distinguished by their long maturation period. The yellow-fleshed plum ripens slowly and is harvested very late. Through constant, intensive tasting, Scheibel discovered that the distillate`s aromas are best expressed at precisely 44% ABV. Aging in small oak barrels gives the brandy its beautiful, rich color. Exquisite mocha, vanilla, and caramel notes are accompanied by a hint of marzipan. The subtle sweetness intensifies over time, leading to a flavor profile that seems to linger forever.
