The intense aroma of Bourbon vanilla (Vanilla planifolia) enriches desserts such as pudding, ice cream, pastries, creme brulee, and custard. The number of pods can vary considerably, as it is a natural product and the pods are thicker or thinner depending on the harvest. However, each pod contains 100g, and it`s not just the seeds that release the aroma; the whole pod or the shell can also be used to make vanilla sugar or in creams.
