Oak wood - almost like hickory, but stronger. It imparts an aromatic smoky flavor to meat and poultry. Like a good seasoning in cooking, these wood chips add savory smoky aromas to grilling. They are either added to the coals or, for gas and electric grills, moistened, wrapped in aluminum foil, and placed on the grill grate. Made from 100% pure wood without bark or other impurities. The chips, with their low moisture content and uniform chip size of 8-12 mm, are suitable for all grills and smokers.
