The caper berries grow from the center of the white flower. They don`t have quite the same intense flavor as caper buds, but they possess a pleasant fleshiness. These are preserved in extra virgin olive oil and are excellent as an aperitif. They can also be simply placed on top of vitello tonnato or salmon carpaccio, or on a pizza with tuna, vegetables, or ham. A true rarity with a perfectly balanced flavor.
