Merula means blackbird. And blackbirds live in the olive groves of the Marques, where the olives for this oil also grow. They are harvested a little later. That is why there are ripe notes of olives, fruits and vegetables on the nose. The mild, buttery oil tastes of ripe fruit, almonds and olives. The distinctive, lithographed can has become a trademark and protects the oil from light as much as possible.
