Muscovado sugar comes from the island of Mauritius. It is made from cane sugar and remains unrefined and natural. The chocolate-colored, slightly moist sugar offers strong, aromatic notes with its natural molasses content. The spectrum ranges from caramel to malt to a light licorice flavor.
