Reisebauer Single Malt Whiskey is not a copy of Irish or Scottish whiskey, but really Austrian and made from barley grown and malted there. Fine and very multi-layered in fragrance, light roasted aromas reminiscent of hazelnut and dried herbs, pleasantly breaded and grainy, subtly smoky and with fine spice, matured and yet full of vitality. The way of storage - at least 6 years - is new for Reisebauer single malt whiskey: used barrique barrels from Austria`s top winegrowers are used. Barrels in which once selected dry berries and fine Chardonnays matured give the whiskeys special fruity notes and additionally intensify the malt aroma.
