2021 Eichberg Spätburgunder GG, dry, 12.5% vol., Franz Keller

Hand-picked Pinot Noir from the Tephyr soil, which, after approximately one month on the skins, was aged for a year and a half in barriques. During this time, it has developed wonderful notes of herbs and tonka bean in addition to its opulent and ripe dark fruit. The tannins could certainly age a little further, but are already so harmoniously integrated that the wine is a great pleasure to drink now. It pairs perfectly with braised and dark meats, spicy dishes, or even a strong Epoisses cheese!
