Intense and expressive, with hints of dried fruit and sweetish vanilla notes on the nose. Compact and slightly creamy on the palate, powerful and long finish. The Uerige is one of the oldest inns in Düsseldorf. For 152 years beer has been brewed here. The term Uerige goes back to the former Baas (Rhenish for boss) and his constant grumpy mood (Rhenish: Uerig). In 2008 the distillery was established. Its size and features make it perfect for producing full-bodied yet mild distillates. The main part of Baas wins its unique taste in American oak barrels. The product range has been extended by storage in bourbon, sherry or port wine barrels
